Tragedy Strikes In Manchester As Teenager Killed In Train Collision

Kurt Swartout 21, son of Mr and Mrs Charles Swartout of Co Rd 139, was killed Tuesday when his car was struck by a Lehigh Valley train in Manchester. A Interlake Central School graduate, he would have begun his junior year at the University of Kentucky. Details of the accident and funeral plans were incomplete at press time.

Interlaken Cyclist Struck By Car Injures Youth

A Willard motorist stopped quickly after a cyclist from Seneca Street was struck on Main Street around 2 30 pm Tuesday. John Zammett Jr was treated at Willard State Hospital for non serious injuries Kenneth Foxx drove the car and Undersheriff Gerald Bruer investigated the incident.

Democrats Nominate Multiple Races at Area Caucuses
