Janne Sewing Center Opens in Interlaken Area
A new business, the Janne Sewing Center, opens on Potter Road off Route 96, Interlaken, offering sewing machines, fabrics, and classes for all levels. Owners Wallace and Janne Williams plan a full fabric line, authorized Necchi dealers, on-site repairs, and demonstrations, with classes starting in the fall.

Seneca County Firemen Meet. Central Convention Plans
At Interlaken Fire Dept the Seneca County Firemen's Assoc held its last meeting discussing Central Firemen's Assoc events. Charles Burg Sr. reported many county members have served as Central New York Firemen's Assoc officers and thanked the county for ongoing support. The Central Convention is set for Sidney July 20 to 22 with Paul E. Bates as delegate and Emmet Sutherland as alternate. Others named for various conventions include Gerald Andrews and Larry Marangoni. The May drawing was won by Border City Hose Co. per secretary Austin Chilson.
