Dr Aaron Pines of Willard State Hospital led a preventive dentistry program for Trumansburg Cooperative Nursery School during National Children’s Dental Health Week. He explained sweets’ role in cavities, demonstrated brushing on a large model, and examined each child for gross dental disease to ease future visits.

Seneca County United Fund Honors Agencies Despite Shortfall
At the February meeting the board voted to honor the budget allocations in full for eighteen member agencies. President F. L. Huntington Jr. noted the 1972 operating funds campaign fell short by about six percent, collecting 887,807, yet through economizing and contingency funds they will meet all commitments. This marks the fifth consecutive year of full funding. Agencies include the American Red Cross Finger Lakes Council Boy Scouts Louis Agassiz Fuertes Council Mynderse Library Ovid Youth Center Salvation Army Leukemia Society Seneca County Children’s Committee Seneca Army Depot Youth Activities Council Seneca Falls Historical Society Seven Lakes Girl Scout Council and others.
