Willard State Hospital Budget Talks Highlight 1972 Plan
A Willard State Hospital conference reviewed Gov Nelson Rockefeller’s 1972-73 budget request for the Department of Mental Health totaling 600 million dollars with 11.8 million earmarked for Willard. Director Dr Anthony Mustille and officials outlined projects including Pines Building renovations 300 thousand for sewage disposal and new fire safety upgrades due by April. The plan also funds salary increases for qualifying patient care staff as part of a statewide 20 million dollar mental health increase.
