Granite Boulder Heads to Glenside for Centennial Tree Plaque
A 4720 pound granite boulder was moved to Glenside Monument for a bronze plaque commemorating a centennial tree to be planted Arbor Day weekend. Supervisor Bruce Payne requested the search. Francis Potter’s crew lifted the stone from Alvin Vann’s fields and will finish carving the plaque recess before transporting the stone to the Presbyterian church lawn marker site.

Taughannock Garden Club chaired by Sue Millspaugh plans a luncheon after planting the Centennial Tree on April 29 at 12 30 in the Presbyterian Chapel. The Women’s Guild of St James Church donated to landscape the church parking and rectory lines. The Trees for T Burg committee seeks over a dozen crabapple trees and will canvass February 26 27 and 28 for resident orders.
