The Interlaken Women’s Guild set a Feb 1 meeting with a focus on community needs. Barbara Barrows Ada Diaz and Teen Challenge participants from Ithaca will present the program alongside a study on Beauty Care for the Tongue.
The United Presbyterian Church in Lodi presided over by Rev David Hostetter discussed reports from UPW Sunday School Worship and Music and financials for 1973. Elected to Session were Loren Grace Francis Stevenson Mary Lou Swick and Floyd Westervelt with nominating members Arthur Burdin Jean Eastman Glenn Huff and Barbara Westervelt. The ordination of new members occurred January 21 and Floyd Westervelt was installed as elder.

Gil Scouts Troop 19 met Saturdays in January at Mrs. Arlene Smiths home. Jan 13 focused on individual projects for a spring craft fair, Jan 20 built a large doll house for needy children, and Jan 27 each girl made a candle with Mrs. Raymar assisting.

Rickey L. Campbell was baptized Sunday January 28 at Interlaken Baptist Church by Rev. James Sheppard. Anna Warne hosted relatives including Freddie and Mary Lou McBride and family. Ovid Center Homemakers Club set to meet February 7 at Shirley Jerger’s home.

Burial in Union Cemetery. Memorials to Salvation Army. Survived by five sons, one daughter, nineteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two brothers, three sisters and many relatives.
