Undersheriff reports a Dec 7 two car collision on Rt 89 near Center Road injuring Phyllis Stamper 42. Monroe E. Pease 84 and Charles E. Steele 45 involved. Burglary at Hilltop Inn on County Road 139 netted about 100 dollars. window broken and door unlocked from inside. James Marks operates Hilltop Inn. investigation ongoing.

Bailey family home broken into during Thanksgiving weekend theft
After returning from Thanksgiving, Mr and Mrs David Bailey and their two young children found their Syracuse home ransacked with furniture clothing and food stolen and the rest damaged. James Bailey and friends organized aid through the Between the Lake C B Club setting up a receiving station and relocating the family to a Hayts Corners home.
