The Giants lost to Stowers Furniture Co of San Antonio 12 to 5 at Seipp Park. Red Schnerr homered with a man on to tie, then Stowers pulled away, Johnson of Stower’s allowing six Giants hits while striking out six. Klaemer gave up fourteen hits and eleven K’s for the Giants. Next Sunday the Giants face the Cibolo Buffs at Seipp Park. a strong Southwest club expected.

Leveland May 11 Rescuers found two year old Hugh Sweeten wandering the woods after 500 people searched for two days. His face was smeared with blackberry juice and he said he survived by eating wild blackberries. He had wandered from his parents Mr and Mrs Clarence Sweeten’s home early Wednesday.
