Fredericksburg High School Billikens crowned first Golden Girls champions at the San Antonio tournament final against Little River Academy Temple. Doris Mittendorf hit the deciding shot in the final 30 seconds as Mabel Henke led scoring with seven points. Prior wins included the East Zone title and a 12 of 13 season record under coach Mrs. Krause with more games slated before the February 27 28 district meet.

Income Tax Aid In Fredericksburg March 4
A Deputy Collector of the Internal Revenue Department will be at the Fredericksburg courthouse on Thursday March 4 from 6 a m to 5 p m to assist residents with 1947 income tax returns.
