Truck overturns injure Pennington Co. workers near Johnson City
Alfons Weinheimer and Arthur Durst employees of Felix Hahn of Pennington Produce Co. were badly injured when a turkey truck overturned on the Austin Fredericksburg Highway about 12 miles below Johnson City after a horse ran onto a narrow bridge. Weinheimer had a deep cut and head bruises. Durst had minor bruises. The truck caught fire, destroyed the vehicle, and several turkey coops burned. the horse was killed.

Kendall County Faces Bond Issue For Paved Highways

Charles Welgehausen Funeral Held in Fredericksburg
Funeral services for Charles Welgehausen, who died December 12 at 4 45 AM at his Crab Apple Préday residence, were held Saturday at 2 PM from Edward Eckert’s home in Fredericksburg. Interment was in City Cemetery. He was born September 7 1867 and married Anna Lang in 1893. Survived by wife, seven children Arthur, Mrs Eugene Hahn, Mrs Felix Hahn, Mrs Werner Cren welge, Felix, Walter, Erna, two grandchildren, three brothers Louis Emil August Welgehausen, a sister Mrs August Evers, and other relatives. Two sisters Mrs Wmitz and Mrs Henry Grobe and one brother Willie Welgehausen preceded him. Age 63 years 3 months 5 days. Several relatives from Pecos City and Mason visited.

The Interstate Commerce Commission grants Southern Pacific the right to acquire Gulf and West Texas Rail and build 113 miles linking San Antonio to San Angelo.
