District 161 approves 5.8 percent teacher raise in 1982-83
Summit Hill District 161 ratified a one year salary and insurance package with a 5.8 percent pay hike and a medical and dental premium cost ceiling. The contract, ratified Sept 7, keeps average teacher pay at about 16,102.44 with nine years experience and a bachelor’s degree. Negotiations for salary and insurance will resume next spring while language items are renegotiated in 1984.
