Two Men Killed in Columbia City Train Collision
A buggy carrying Elmer Shirley Jesse Werden and Arthur Fryhover was hit by Pennsylvania passenger train No. 24 near the station in Columbia City last Saturday night. Shirley died instantly Werden died three hours later Fryhover escaped with minor injuries and the horse escaped unscathed after the collision at the first crossing east of the station.
