In Auburn Indiana during December nearly 17 090 is distributed by Savings Loan and Trust Co and City National Bank to Christmas Savings club members. Trust Co shares 31 344 98 and City National about 5 500. This year’s total falls about 3 000 from last year when close to 20 000 was paid. Trust Co began Christmas club in 1918 and City National in 1915. Between 400 and 500 checks at Trust Co and about 700 at City National. Amounts range from 12 75 to 9100. Banks say campaigns and drives boosted participation despite lower totals.
