In Jackson Michigan on June 13 Mrs. Frank Dewitt hunted for her husband after he missed his usual hour. She hired a cab and at daybreak tried to confront him, firing a pistol. The driver Homer Wells was wounded and Dewitt fled after the police seized her revolver.

Runaway Multiplies Itself on Broadway and Lafayette

A horse drawn by Mrs. E F Yarnelle ran away on Broadway injuring Mrs Yarnelle and her son Page who were dragged by wheels but not seriously hurt. Another runaway on Lafayette street caused two more horses to flee. Wichman’s wagon shattered with no injuries. Mary Rayner reported against Mike Shea for striking her son. Fatal chimney fall claims two men at Grand Ramps

Benjamin McCale and John Wood died after a 212 foot Street Railroad powerhouse chimney under construction collapsed. While removing scaffolding they signaled the elevator to descend, misdirecting it upward and lifting timbers that dropped them 170 feet to the ground. Wood died instantly. McCale died later.
