Congregation votes to sell current church property and appoints a committee of W Crighton E G Schultz G W Morgan W A Diffenderfer and W English to select a new site. Likely south side location due to resident majority and lack of a south side Presbyterian church. City projects include brick sidewalks on Pontiac and Washington streets and alley sewers.

Splendid Busch von Gontard Wedding in St Louis

In St Louis at the Church of the Messiah Miss Clara Hazel Busch daughter of Adolphus Busch and Herr Paul von Gontard were married in an international society event. The ceremony followed German custom with Adolphus Busch giving away his daughter and a German regimentally dressed best man. Musicians directed by Ernst Kroeger performed Lohengrin and other pieces as guests filled the church.

Lavish wedding festivities at the Southern hotel
