Terre Haute Indiana December 16 George W McCammon Adams express agent and Evansville and Terre Haute railroad agent at Farmersburg sixteen miles from here hired a horse and buggy to Sullivan to obtain a marriage license. He vanished after the safe lock was altered and $2 500 to 4 000 in the Jackson Hill coal mine payroll money was missing. He fled by train toward Mattoon Illinois and is believed to have taken about four thousand dollars. Miners at Jackson Hill reportedly stopped pay amid the missing funds.
