Forest Park schools join suit over unemployment law
Forest Park School District 91 voted to join a national class action led by the National Institute of Municipal Officials challenging the Unemployment Compensation Act of 1976 as infringing on state sovereignty. Bulk Mail worker fired on sexual abuse charge
Thomas Bassett 35 of 9023 S University Ave was fired May 31 1977 from the Forest Park Bulk Mail Center after being charged with conduct unbecoming a postal supervisor for making sexual advances toward three women employees two of whom were black and white. He appeals the decision alleging racial bias while managers Dallas Davis and Milton Healey say the matter remains under review and privacy concerns limit comment.
