Heubner Named to Forest Park Park Board Seat
Edward Heubner was appointed Thursday to fill the unexpired Forest Park park board seat vacated by Gary Fink who resigned effective March 1. The board debated whether the replacement should be the April 1 election third place finisher, but approved Heubner after Ken Stange and Anthony DiFoggio supported the motion. Means opposed the choice. Fink was not present. Heubner, previously treasurer, indicated interest in the post and planned to run for the board, but a conflict arose. Community members questioned Heubner’s qualifications while Farrell noted no other candidates were recommended. In other business, officials denied reports of financial difficulties.
