Miller defended police performance and said he would enforce the new limit.
Proviso Township High School teachers voted 205 in favor and 64 against ratifying a contract with the school board for the 1974 75 school year. Base salaries rise 10.3 percent next year, with 100 percent major medical insurance paid by the district. Negotiations may resume in five or six months.
