Park District Sets 1975 Pool Fee Increases
The Forest Park Park District voted to raise pool fees for 1975 with a resident family pass up to 33 dollars from 30, a child pass to 12 dollars, and an adult pass to 20 dollars. Sheriff orders forest preserve drug crackdown arrests
Nine people, including two Elmwood Park youths and a River Grove girl, were rounded up in a forest preserves drug crackdown on the Northwest side. Sheriff Elrod said up to 30 arrests may follow as MEG coordinates with city and suburban police. Among those held were Ronnie Thielsen, 17, and Michael Sobotka, 18, both charged with PCP sales and released on bonds. a 16-year-old Elmwood Park youth turned to juvenile court. Six other youths from Chicago and nearby suburbs were also arrested.
