Forest Park School Picnic Set for Next Wednesday
The annual Forest Park school picnic sponsored by the Forest Park Chamber of Commerce will be held at Allenheim Grove starting 9 30 am with a parade from Madison and Circle. The event includes rides and free treats with buses bringing in distant students. Arthur Haydenshield, known as Frenchy the Clown, died last Friday reducing the festive spirit.

Bronze Star for Clarence N Glos Heroic Korean War action
Pfc Clarence N Glos of Forest Park earned the Bronze Star Medal for heroism in Korea. He saved two wounded comrades under heavy fire during a November 24 patrol near Huhang gol while with Company M 17th Infantry Regiment. He exposed himself to danger to evacuate casualties and refused to withdraw until all were safe.

Roger A Bruggemeyer son of Mr and Mrs Albert Bruggemeyer Beloit Wisconsin graduated last week from the U S Naval School Pre Flight Pensacola Florida He graduated from Proviso in 1949 and later attended Wisconsin State College He entered the Naval service in October 1951 and was selected for Pre Flight training in January 1962 He is now at the U S Naval Auxiliary Air Station Whiting Field Milton Florida engaged in primary flight training After completing Pensacola and Corpus Christi he will receive the gold wings of a naval aviator and join the fleet

Proviso Township high school will graduate 766 seniors next Wednesday night at 8 pm in Proviso's fieldhouse.
