Thalman Reelected Proviso High Principal Unanimously

Principal Thalman of Proviso Township High School was unanimously reelected for the next year by the Board of Education on Friday April 28. Under his leadership the school has grown to over 400 pupils with a faculty of 45, earned state accreditation, expanded entrance subject credits at the University, and improved facilities and discipline, earning recognition beyond the local district.

Inks and companions pulled for liquor plot at Park

Merl B Inks fled with Miss Treno Elizabeth McAuliff after a discovered shortage of thousands in her accounts. Taken to Forest Park station after 4 companions, including Frank Conover, were tracked by a federal agent in an alleged liquor sale attempt. Conover posted a $25 cash bond. Criminial motive remains unclear.

Married Weiland and Sehaeffert wed in Milwaukee area church

Emily Sehbaeffert daughter of Mr and Mrs Schauffert and Ernest Welland son of Mr and Mrs Welland were married at Rev A Koenig’s Alon Mvangollad church in Ctdenga on Saturday April 24. The reception followed at Forest Park, with a wedding supper and dancing. The couple, after a brief honeymoon to Milwaukee, will reside at 41% Eigin avenue in Morest Park.

Community Club May Dance Tonight at Amusement Park

The Community Club hosts a May dance tonight at Forest Mark ballroom with Kamke's famous ragtime orchestra and moonlight dream waltzes. Refreshments include ice cream sandwiches soft drinks coffee and more. The event closes Saturday night dances before the park opens with organizers aiming for a good time.

Neighborhood Club of Forest Park elects officers

The Neighborhood club of Forest Park met at the Community club home on Friday afternoon April 23 and elected officers for the coming year. Officers include Mrs Wilhein Gorn president Mrs Lulan Schuster second vice president Mrs Antionatte McWire corresponding secretary Mrs Lichtag Ket yicu secretary and Aira Kiuna Schultz treasurer. A discussion and paper on Famous Women of Chicago followed with remarks praising the achievements of notable women and the role of those behind the scenes. Refreshments were served.

Ralph Hermann and Chicagoan Collide in Cars

Ralph Hermann, driving a Ford delivery truck, collided with a Wigtoning car owned by BL Valenta at Betolt and Adama streets in Chicago. Hermann escaped serious injuries after being thrown through the windshield onto the parkway as the truck wrecked. Mrs Wallcote, seated beside Valenta, escaped injury.

Commissioners Hold Weekly Session Over Street Openings

In a crowded meeting the Board of Improvements debated opening Kishar, Ferdinand and Lathrop avenues across railroad tracks from Kilmer to Huertron streets. Legal and rail firm representatives urged caution while residents pressed for openings. A five-member citizen committee was formed to negotiate with rail and property owners, next meeting set for May 4.
