Amling Easter Lily Show At Chicago Flowerplace

Amling’s Flowerkind and a Chicago florist featured prize lilies at the National Show. Visitors viewed elaborate displays including Spanish moss and colonial decor with carnations and a famed bouquet of skyscraper roses. Easter prices were slated to drop this year amid publicity. Richard Archinault was hospitalized after a bicycle crash at Madison and Des Plaines following a red light incident with a car driven by George Leaner.

Prize winner Zarish sings to win radio prize

Joseph Zarish of Forest Park captured first prize for singing at a St Patrick's Day party hosted by the Furniture Club of America. He is a Chicago office manager for Salman son & Co and a World War II veteran with six years of service. The award was presented by M J Berg, president of the Chicago Retail Furniture association. He lives with his parents at 926 Thomas.
