In Forest Park during Feb 18 to 23 elections were held for a youth led village council. On March 12 Scouts take over village offices including Mayor Victor Bisluk Police Magistrate Fred Moraanti and 14 commissioners with names and assigned duties. A March 11 council meeting precedes the transfer of power.

Vandals Fire Staples At Two Desplaines Businesses
Police report vandals fired staples from sling shots at two Desplaines businesses. The Calcagno Food Mart window on Desplaines was broken in the first incident reported March 1. A second incident was reported by Arthur Kintenbroker of 1010 Desplaines.

Attorney Named To County Job
Attorney Shelley DaCosta aged 41 with 14 years as a lawyer was named assistant state's attorney for Cook County. He will work in the civil branch in the county building and was sworn in last Thursday by Judge Julius Miner. DaCosta, a resident at 1028 Elgin, is married with a six year old son Stanley Neil a Betsy Ross student and is a John Marshall Law School graduate.
