Northern Illinois Gas Co reports to the Illinois Commerce Commission that letters are being mailed to about 30 000 customers authorizing natural gas space heating. The current releases cover all customers in the state where approved.
A patient describes overcoming disabling arthritis and rheumatism that left joints crippled and muscles withered, detailing a remarkable return to active life after treatment and recovery.
The company offers gas heat authorizations to customers who applied by July 18 1964 for existing homes and by Sept 23 1954 for new homes. Under the gas restriction order authorizations cover single family dwellings with 12 months to complete installation. About two thirds of those offered will accept and install equipment. 110000 customers remain awaiting authorization.
Sealed bids are invited for removal of garbage and rubbish in Forest Park on all dwelling units. Bids must be submitted to Village Clerk at 517 Desplaines Avenue Forest Park Illinois by 5 p.m. daylight saving time on June 24 1957. Village Council may accept or reject any or all bids. Patricia Marie Bull daughter of William H. and Mrs Bull of Stanley Wisconsin married Marion Sierocik son of Frank Sierocuk of Thorp Wisconsin on May 25 at St Anne's Stanley. The couple reside at 923 Lyman Oak Park Illinois. A large reception followed at the Stanley auditorium after a wedding breakfast at The Needles Chippewa Falls.
Miss Virginia Terhune announced Proviso High School summer term runs 30 days from June 24 to August 2. Classes meet mornings with shop hours extended. tuition is 11 to 28 dollars depending on subject and resident status. Enrolled students need not re enroll. others should secure enrollment blanks at the main office.
The Altar and Rosary Society of St Bernadine parish sponsors a card and games party at 1 30 p m on Wednesday June 19 in the parish hall. Co chairmen are Mrs Rose Hund and Mrs Mary Winkler. Refreshments precede the games. Admission 75 cents. Proceeds go to the Sacred Heart Guild organ fund.
Mr and Mrs Harold Ernst of Williams Park announce the birth of a daughter Peggy Elen on June 10 at West Suburban Hospital. The infant weighed pounds 7 ounces and has two brothers Harold and Gerald and a sister Linda. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs Carl Hillstrom of Hinsdale and Mrs Emily Ernst of Forest Park.
Commonwealth Edison Company informs the public of proposed revisions to Schedules 9 and E-3 Rates 5 and 6 General Service and Standard Contract Rider 7 Meter Lease filed with the Illinois Commerce Commission. A new standard monthly minimum charge of 1.00 is proposed for all customers, with rental charges for certain meters added when the company provides metering equipment. Information is available from the company or the ICC, and a key of revisions can be inspected at company offices.
