Pioneer Presbyterians Annual Park Event At Washington Park
Members of the Moncor Presbyterian church enjoyed their annual outing at Washington Park on Saturday. About 276 attendees rode the Metropolitan elevated line, with basket lunches and garom available. Cunningham Honored by Farewell Reception
A farewell reception for Mr and Mrs William Cunningham and family was held Thursday July 26 at Com Junly Club house to mark their move from 610 Beloit avenue Forest Park to Detroit Michigan where Mr Cunningham becomes general auditor of the Detroit Toledo and Ironton railway. The program highlighted church service, songs, duets, readings and expressions of appreciation for Mr Cunningham's leadership and Mrs Cunningham's work with the Ladies Aid. Speakers included J Challifoux Rev Fred T Bebyster and Toy Franklin is, praising his loyalty to the church and noting his role in building the new church and his benevolence amid challenges. Fire Devastates Forest Park Amusement Complex Early Thursday
A large portion of Forest Park near Chicago suffered a severe early morning fire that damaged or destroyed the main attractions and buildings including the skating rink, pool, and substation. Firefighters from Oak Park aided as flames threatened the power house and several structures. no injuries reported and residents aided by volunteers. Heroine Morgale, daughter of Paul Lielusy, helped rescue a pony named Dalay, photographed later in Chicago papers. Rumors linked German plots or vengeance schemes, but a full inquiry was planned.
