Forest Park Chamber of Commerce led by Alvin Jordan heard planning expert Gerwin K. Rohrbach outline a long term plan for the Forest Park business district. The consultancy includes base and condition maps, land use analysis, traffic and parking studies, facade work, zoning amendments, and six consultant meetings over six months at a total estimated cost of about 12 900 dollars for maps, reports, and services.

Parcel Post Weight Increase Announced by Postmaster
Postmaster Mader announced a raise after July 1 1969 to 40 pounds for parcel post shipments between larger post offices in zones three through eight. The maximum size for any first class package remains 72 inches in combined length and girth and zip codes are now required to compute postage.
