The Forest Park Baptist groups led by Lou anne Fuchs and the Schroeders unite to present a week of activities for youth from Jan 27 to Feb 3. Rev R Kern speaks on Know Christ, with youth groups hosting services, a roller skating party, a workers dinner, workshops, a mid week prayer service, a youth choir rehearsal, a banquet at Harlem and Dixon, and a Candlelight Communion service concluding the theme And Serve Him with missionary emphasis and fellowship.

Forest Park man dies after four decades at railway
August H Bathje 76 of Forest Park died January 14 after a 40 year career with Chicago West Towns Railway Co. He retired ten years ago. Funeral services were January 17 at Drescher's Funeral Home with Rev. Paul officiating. Burial at Oakridge. Survived by widow Anna, son Arnold, daughters Margaret Faille and Gladys Bouska, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Eagles Auxiliary to Forest Park to Hold Regular Meeting
The Ladies Auxiliary to Forest Park Eagles will meet tonight Thursday January 24 at 715 p.m. at the Acre Home in Forest Park. Four candidates will be initiated with the ritual team, followed by entertainment and refreshments. A Lollipop Shower for Crippled Children Ward at Illinois Research Hospital is planned with lollipops and used clothing donations. A games party at Bowman Dairy River Forest is set for February 13 with limited 100 tickets at 78 cents. Maywood resident Lorraine Clancy named Penny Social chair for March 14 at the Acre Home.
