Fire destroys pen company building after explosion
Fire at the William Pen Co. on Dunlop Street erupted from a spray machine lacquer residue. Francis Rogalski and Henry Griffey were slightly burned as 35 workers evacuated. loss totals reach about 260000 with pens, materials, equipment, and the building destroyed. Fire Chief Del Marousek praised the rapid response and orderly evacuation.
