License Plate Deadline Nears For 1961 Vehicle Tags
Springfield DL January 80 The deadline for displaying 1961 motor or vehicle license plates is now a little over two weeks away. Secretary of State Charles F. Carpentier said more than a million motorists have yet to obtain their plates. Applications mailed after Wednesday may not arrive in time due to a two week processing and delivery period.

Paul Schueler Dies After Heart Attack In Forest Park
Paul Schueler 148 Rockford died after a heart attack last week. He served as superintendent of Forest Park water works and was past Master Mason of Forest Park Lodge 03B AF and AM. He was husband of Hildecarde and brother of Martha Solf. Services were Saturday at Borman Funeral Home conducted by Rev. W A Burzlaff. Interment at Mt Emblem.

The Forest Parks Ist annual Ice Skating Derby, run by the Recreation Board and Park Board, is set for February 20 at the local rink with qualifying races from 4 to 10 p.m. The finals on February 27 begin at 7 p.m. Only Forest Park residents may compete. prizes awarded at the finals. After races, local boys and girls may skate free. Entry blanks appear in the local paper and at the rink warming house.
