Firemen Save Man From Smoke Filled Forest Park House

A basement fire at the Leonhardt residence 418 Ferdinand avenue in Forest Park trapped occupants. Firemen rescued a 66 year old brother Rudolph Walters and son Raynor 23 who jumped to safety from the second floor. The blaze caused about 500 dollars damage and was traced to ashes in a smoke unshelved basket.

No More Diagonal Parking on Madison Street

Diagonal parking is removed on Madison between Harlem Avenue and Lathrop. State highway department replaces signs with permanent Park Parallel Only signs and adds new white pavement markings designating spaces for autos and street crossings.

William Haverdy Jr. of Bellwoast oversees a 30 to 40 foot scene with trains, signals, and a central control board. Merchants offer tickets for this instructive and entertaining show running nightly through New Year's Eve.

Funeral Services for Bertha Pusheck Held Monday

Funeral services for Bertha Pusheck were held Monday afternoon at St Jula's Taitheran chapel. Rev Alvin Warner led the rites. Interment followed at Tanach cemetery. Ms Pusheck, 1, a Forest Park resident for fifteen years, died December boat home. She was born in Provisis in 1975 and was active in St Fridays Antan church and in the Taddies Aid society. She leaves a sister Mary of Pro wen four brothers Charles Pred Jeange and Henry ath Ewin, who shared her home at 12 Circle Avenue.
