Kiwanis Club and Ladies Enjoy Chicago Theater Outing

Car Stolen Thursday Recovered Next Day

Mr and Mrs Otto Schaeffer parked their touring car on Madison Street Thanksgiving eve while attending a Schubert concert in the Masonic Temple. The next morning police located a Moon touring car at 336 North Leavitt Street with a coverage showing Wilkeliui as owner. an employee from Wilhelm's Tire And Battery recovered the car.

Obituary for Christian Strippel Father of Mrs Measom

Christian Strippel died Tuesday afternoon November 27 after a prolonged illness. Born in Germany he was about 88 years old and had lived in Forest Park seven years. Survived by daughter Mrs Gertrude Measom and a great grandchild. Funeral services were held at the home on Thanksgiving Day with Rev. Ira L. Livingston of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment followed at Woodlawn cemetery.

Police locate large still behind Lathrop Avenue bar

Chief Fred W. Licht led prohibition officers to a rear bar on 837 Lathrop Avenue discovering a large still with two steam wind boilers and ash spreading across adjacent gardens. No arrests were made as premises were empty. Bomb explosion had damaged Waldheim barn nearby, blamed on rival operators fearing competition.

Woman's Club to Stage December Plays at Forest Park

The Woman's Club of Forest Park under Mrs Helen Troike plans two December plays at the Forest Park club house Hanagh avenue and Adams street. The first, Pike and Patience, features Tex Trene McEwan Rexir Mrs Alin ie Lack and others. The second, Good Medicine, stars Dr Graves Natalie McEwan Evhiel Smith and more.
