A Circuit Court hearing before Judge Richard Curry was cancelled pending briefs from both sides. The Concerned Citizens of Forest Park seek an immediate eight month vacancy appointment with attorney William Shelley representing them. Village counsel Edward O'Shea r represents Forest Park. Next hearing date is October 4.

Forest Park may end local concern about the Ford City area postal facility by convincing buyers to pay around 4.14 million dollars for the Roosevelt Road and Des Plaines Avenue land. The Forest Park village council approved licenses for R. Eck and Son Storage at 7419 Franklin and Audiometric Associates for a hearing tests business at 7326 Harrison. It postponed Crover's Suburban Auto Construction at 7449 Madison until contracts prove violations are corrected. Zoning was approved to raze and pave for an employee parking lot by American Wilburt Vault on the former American Rubber Ball site, with a cyclone fence and landscaping.
