Triton College Late Registration Opens for Transfer Classes
Late registrations for Triton College university transfer and career education classes are allowed the first week of classes with a 7 dollar fee for registration withdrawal or schedule changes. On campus window runs August 22 to 25 from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. and August 26 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Classes start August 22. Off campus registrations for September 6 week start run September 6-8 from 6 to 9 p.m. and September 9 from 9 a.m. to p.m.

American Rivets Win Forest Park Invitational Softball Title
The American Rivets captured the ninth annual Forest Park Invitational title with an 11 1 victory over Josef's of Hill Side. The Rivets rode a six run first inning and strong defense to claim top honors as district sponsors Forest Park Park District highlighted a field of three former national champions. The Bobcats were upset by Josef's in the second round while Rivers, a two time former winner, edged to the title with close games against Stryker Lanes and The Stompers who finished third after beating Gas House Gang. Two local Forest Park squads, Ending and Saints, each won one game before exiting in round two.
