Leroy H. Saunders of 32 Lincoln Street, a radio expert for Hanford & Horton Co., fell 15 feet from a skylight in the North Street store and landed in the stockroom. He was unconscious, later found with a paralyzed left leg, but doctors said the back is not fractured and his condition is improved. A district Presbyterian training school for the Hudson and North River Presbyteries will open next summer at the Middletown Scout Camp near Hunter Lake. Rev. E Van Dyke Wight announced negotiations with Rev. Ralph Hall of Philadelphia. The Board of Education will supply three instructors and the two presbyteries will provide the director. Dr. Wight has visited Princeton Seminary. Camp Townsend will be extended to serve about 60 pupils, including a new dining room funded by Garrett Townsend.
