A stranger wearing a black hood entered BE Clark Mercantile in Peavey and threatened proprietor Mr. Clark with a revolver before Clark seized the weapon hand and struck the robber, who fled without a trace by noon today. Clark estimated the intruder at about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 150 pounds, dressed in khaki overalls and a dark complexion, noting nervousness suggesting a novice in crime. Blakeleys In Near Serious Accident On State Route
Tuesday afternoon Mr and Mrs Frank Blakeley narrowly escaped a serious crash while returning from Twin Falls. While reaching for an item in his pocket to pass to his wife he lost control of the car, drove off the road and toppled an embankment. The vehicle but for self-recovery reached town. Mrs Blakeley suffered a forehead cut and nervous shock, Mr Blakeley was only lightly bruised.

H R Butch Adkins arrested Friday as one of the postholders of a seven gallon hex of home made whiskey found by Sheriff E R Sherman and Deputy Sheriff Van Ormaby in an east Main Street dwelling.
