Death of Oliver M Elliott Lewiston Normal School Leader
Oliver Morton Elliott, president of the Lewiston State Normal, died at Lachetes Monday morning after an appendicitis surgery a week earlier. He was 67, born February 11, 1867, in Whitewater Iowa. Former superintendent of public schools in Tein Falls and previously led Sheldon and Corning, Iowa schools before moving to Lewiston in 1908.

Holmes, a Cedar Draw district farmer, lies at county general hospital with a severely injured left hand and forearm after his hand was drawn into a corn huller during operation without his knowledge.
