District Meet of Legion Plans for December 12

A district joint meeting of American Legion posts is planned in Twin Falls on December 12. Adjutant Mrs. T. Dan Connor announces the Elks Building as venue with Dr. B. L. Crabtree attending as state conductor. Legionnaires and guests are invited to a day of business sessions, a banquet, an evening meeting, and a social to conclude the program.

American Falls district voters go to polls Tuesday December 9 to fill vacancies from term expirations of J H Barker of Buhl and H K Wylie of Springfield. Sealey Brothers to Occupy Building Vacated by Craig

Sealey Brothers plan to occupy the Arthur Small building adjoining The Record office after Craig Sealey vacates the property. Craig, after nearly three years, has not announced his future plans and will reside with his parents south of Carry. George Leonard Dies in Idaho Valley Heart Attack

George Leonard, aged 68, pioneer rancher and community leader, died suddenly Saturday night of heart disease at his home west of Twin Falls. An autopsy confirmed coronary arteriosclerosis as the cause. Funeral services at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, with burial in the local cemetery. He helped found the local church, served as a Knights of Columbus official, and held farm, telephone, and school board posts. Survived by wife and three sons, with several in-laws and relatives attending. Born November 18, 1871, in Marshalltown, Iowa, he moved to Wisconsin, then Idaho in 1909, building enduring ties in the community.

Fitzgerald Funeral Held First of Week

James Fitzgerald pioneer of Twin Falls area died November 26 near Mochenter Minnesota. Funeral services were at Grown chapel with members from Chimvan Solonew Church in charge. Interment at Twin Valle cemetery. Pallbearers included H Sichildman T B Moore T Dan Conyer and A J Hicks.

The Jeokine Aw company reports the loss of about 14 in cash from its money drawer Wednesday night. Entrance to the building was gained through the coal chute, and proprietor Glen Jenkins says he was away at his Desmene place and returned about 7 o clock Thanksgiving when he found the theft. The Filer Rule company reports similar thefts that month. Entry was made through the hatch near the rear door, with Ben Wright discovering the open door and notifying J. C. Hie. it was learned the thief rode away on the morning train.
