A group appeals voters to support candidates from the faithful township in the Democratic cause. They caution against unfair tactics and urge voters to mark the ballot for the preferred township candidate with a fair process before election day.
The Ferdinand Town Board expresses thanks to Gustav F Woerter ex marshal and street commissioner for faithful impartial service in Ferdinand Indiana. He is discharged from his expired office after one year of appointment and a two year term not seeking re election on the first Monday in January 1912 Attest Town Clerk Aug F Gehlhausen.
In Dubois County the Democratic vote leans heavy while Ferdinand Township seeks recognition after being named Banner Democratic Township. Citizens are urged to vote the full slate to honor the township’s long-standing political contribution and ensure county offices reflect its proud voting history.
The last bi annual examinations for pupils will be held March 11 and 12 at the High School. County teachers will gather in Huntingburg on Saturday in the assembly room of the Huntingburg High School, which was taxed to capacity last Saturday with 107 attendees.

John C Horny asserts under oath that if elected he will personally perform all duties of Ferdinand Township Trustee and not appoint an executor or deputy. He states the office will be located not in any business house in Ferdinand. Notary Ida M Quante swears to the affidavit on March 3, 1914 in Dubois County Indiana.
Stanley M Krieg of Pike County visits our city Saturday urging political support. He argues Dubois County will gain a judge and representative while Pike should have the prosecutor. Krieg is described as thoroughly competent and pledges to serve the people if elected.
Henry Boehmann aged 41 years 2 months 5 days died after a six month illness from Bright's disease at his father in law Matthias Olinger home. He came from Evansville December to Tell City and hoped to return to the Tell City brewery January first but declined. Born near St Meinrad he owned a foundry and machine works before a fire destroyed it and later served as chief engineer at Tell City Brewing Co. He is survived by his wife Bertha Olinger three sisters three brothers and two half sisters. Interment was at St Ferdinand cemetery Tuesday at eight with local and Tell City Branch Co A members present.

The obituary honors Henry Brackman a devout Christian father and friend who died March 1 at 10 20 after six weeks of illness. Born April 18 1837 he was 76 years old, married Agnes Dablinghouse in 1864 and had eight children including Prof H F Brackman. He is interred at St Joseph Cemetery Victoria Ohio. May he rest with the righteous.
