Joe Mayer son of John Mayer suffered severe hand injuries at a saw mill near St Henry Monday afternoon. A glove caught in the saw as he tried to move a board pulling his right hand into the blade. Two fingers were amputated and the tips of the other fingers and the thumb were torn.

Edwin Lindauer buys the bar, supplies, and fixtures of his brother Claude, and will continue the business as before. He has been polishing up the place the past week.
Mrs. Fred Wiemeyer died in Chicago on February 26 after an operation for cancer. A daughter of Mrs. John Roos of this city, she was laid to rest in a Catholic cemetery in Chicago last Monday. Survived by her husband, mother, three children, six sisters, and two brothers. sisters include Mrs. Fidel Bosler Mrs. Nick Mohr and Mrs. Gustav Woerter of this place.
Everett E. Dillard of Eckerly wed Katie John of Birdseye in a Clerk's office ceremony conducted by T. K. Dougherty. Also listed is Kik Painter of Wickliff marrying Cora Moore of Birdseye in a Clerk's Office ceremony by T. K. Dougherty.

A stream of visitors and travelers from Jasper, Louis ville, Huntingburg, Evansville, Louisville, and other towns stopped by or passed through the area this week. Local residents including professionals and tradespeople were seen in town on various days, with several heading to Louisville and Evansville for business or family reasons.
Mrs John Withag died at her north end home last Saturday at six p m after a heart illness lasting years She was born in Ferdinand December 4 1848 aged 65 years 3 months and 3 days She leaves husband two brothers Henry and Clem Reutmann and a sister Mrs Mary Meyers Interment was in St Ferdinand cemetery Tuesday morning at eight o clock Our sympathy is with the bereaved.

The body of 68 year old Frank Bosler was found last Friday morning beside his bed at his home near Maineh Hill. He leaves a wife two sons and two daughters. The death is being investigated.
The county commissioners met in special session last Thursday morning to grant a liquor license to Hubert Sternberg of St. Anthony. Sternberg had delayed his application past the regular session deadline of March 2. In the afternoon, the board toured bridges in Madison township to inspect several structures.
