Paul Wagner a well known farmer living between here and St Meinrad died at his home Tuesday morning after a three year struggle with dropsy He was born December 17 1848 at Ferdinand and lived on a local farm He served on the advisory board and was road supervisor for 14 years He is survived by his wife seven children and three sisters Burial was in St Ferdinand cemetery after a requiem mass Also noted were the deaths of Sister M Julius Marie Philomina Reuber age 21 and Philip Schweeppe 77 with burial in respective cemeteries The News extends sympathy to the bereaved

At St Ferdinand church on Tuesday morning 7 o’clock Miss Katie Durchholz married Henry Schnieders with Clara Verkamp as bridesmaid and Louis Durchholz as groomsman. About 200 guests attended a breakfast at the bride’s home and a dance followed in the barn. The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs John Durchholz a prominent farmer and sawmill man the groom the son of Mr and Mrs John Schnieders a township schoolteacher.
