Personal notes show numerous residents visiting nearby towns. Matt Olinger attended Troy on Tuesday and Jos F Kitten was in Dubois on Monday. Sam Pitts went to Evansville Tuesday, Louis Roth visited from Dubois on Sunday, and othersincluding Fred Bromm in Tell City, Mrs F X Rickelman in Evansville, Frank Wirthwein in Fulda and a crowd from here at French Lick.
Court proceedings include Anthony Michael appointed to the county Board of Charities for eight years to fill a vacancy. Jury list for cases against Mary E. King et al. includes John Alles and others. Several cases show findings, pleas, and sentences including a Desertion case and a railway company suit with a $314.80 judgment at 6 percent interest from July 20, 1910.
Paul Ender the shoe maker visited town on business. Mr and Mrs William Marwa of Louisville visited relatives here this week. Mike Uebelher and family spent Sunday at Henry Flecks. Mrs Rheinhold Sturm of Bt Meinrad visiting her mother Mrs Ben Grewe. Mrs Wm Sauer and Math Hirsch were at St Meinrad last Saturday. Peter Mueller and Sons took an auto trip to the oil well on Kirners farm. Mrs Henry Haake and children returned from Lewisburg Kentucky Wednesday evening. Miss Ida Beckmann and Mrs Joel Havlik left for St Louis last Saturday morning. Miss Katherine Renner of Huntington spent a week with her grandmother here. Prof H F Brackmann and Clemens Steinbrunner returned home from St Louis Tuesday. Mr and Mrs John Knapp and children of Jasper invited relatives in town Tuesday. Victor Grewe, an employee of Pitts Lumber Co., fell from a log wagon Monday afternoon and suffered a severe gash requiring 17 stitches. He is progressing but not yet able to return home.
Mrs. George Hohl, 76, of near Mariah Hill was found dead sitting in a chair Friday morning. The cause of death was heart trouble. She had been feeble for years. Remains laid to rest Sunday morning in Mariah Hill cemetery.

Bertha Henrich left for Murphysboro Ala to visit relatives. Ben and Taylor Bufkin of Lamar had repair work done at the foundry. Mrs Fred Michel returned from Louisville after visiting her parents. Mrs Ben J Hirsch left for St Louis after a few days here. Tillie Sondermann returned from Sunman and Cincinnati. Several families attended weddings and funerals in the area including Paul Wagner’s funeral with multiple relatives present. John Kost of St Meinrad ordered posters for a 4th of July picnic in his park inviting all.
Ben J Hirsch and Math Hirsch were in Jasper last Friday. Kleaving Bros near Tell City had machine work done Tuesday. Joe Schnauss and family and Mrs Goofrich visited Celestine at Nick Burke's home Sunday. Miss Cornelia Beckmann returned from Evansville last Friday night. Flora Van Winkle and Agnes visited Dr E E Schriefer Saturday and Sunday. Lizzie Bischof of St Meinrad passed through town Tuesday from Tell City and Troy. Hilagern and Clara of Louisville are guests at Ben Bolte's home. Albert Horry of Huntingburg got a new separator at Ferdinand foundry and machine works last Friday. Father Aloyaine of St Meinrad passed Thursday en route to Murphysboro, Illinois. Money Werete Jr and Mine.
The Academy schools closed on Tuesday after a successful term. Pupils displayed the finest needle-work on closing day. Parents note the Immaculate Conception Academy as a top choice for daughters with rising enrollment.
