Victor Grewe, an employee of Pitts Lumber Co., fell from a log wagon Monday afternoon and suffered a severe gash requiring 17 stitches. He is progressing but not yet able to return home.

Found Dead at Home: Mrs. Hohl of Mariah Hill
Mrs. George Hohl, 76, of near Mariah Hill was found dead sitting in a chair Friday morning. The cause of death was heart trouble. She had been feeble for years. Remains laid to rest Sunday morning in Mariah Hill cemetery.
