Lawton Pastor Advocates Law and Order League

Rev. A. R. Spicer of Lawton's Christian church spoke at the Lawton Methodist church in support of the Comanche County Law and Order League. He said the league includes men from all parties, has not endorsed any candidate, and urged voters to study candidates’ records before the August primaries. He blamed lawlessness for high taxes and urged taxpayers countywide to back stronger law enforcement to keep taxes down.

Cyril School Names J J Harrison Principal and Staff

Cyril district appoints J J Harrison as principal for the coming term and his wife will teach the intermediate room. Four teachers remain, one teaching primary pupils in the country, with plans to go to Edmond for summer teachers' term at the state normal school.

Elmer Kitamiller has left school for spring work and John Stauffer will replace him on the Lawton debate Friday evening. The Lawton debaters are expected to differ from those who spoke here recently.

Four Loads of Steers Shipped by Fred Beal Near Here

New Ford for H FB Cline Sparks a Joy Ride

Has New Ford. H FB Cline is seen driving a brand new Ford. He claims he ate dinner at home at 1 pm then visited Fletcher and Elgin, gave three Elgin citizens a joy ride two miles west of town, and returned by 4 pm. He is unsure about the car, saying it returns him home too quickly for work and would not recommend it to a single man on the road with his girl.
