John Roses Sale Promotes Move to Washington

John Rose announces a public sale at his Elgin area farm one mile north of Elgin on December 22. The auction lists seven horses and mules, five cattle, ten hogs, ninety three chickens, farm implements, feed, and household goods, all to be sold as he relocates to Washington to enter grain buying. B V Hamilton of Igin bought Meriin gin at Fletcher and Heaven conduetgaame. He did not resign his gin position this season because hired by the company. Next fall he will devote time to the Fletcher gin, requiring the company to find a replacement in charge.

Train 407 Delayed by Engine Failure at Chickasha

The depot agent and mail messenger waited long Monday night as engine 407 westbound failed near Chickasha. The replacement locomotive arrived in Elgin at 1 20 a m instead of 9 19 p m.

Poultry Shipper Enters Comanche County Show

T Ryan shipped 16 chickens to Lawton for the Comanche county poultry show opening tomorrow. The assortment included Buff Rock and Barred Rock birds, with coops valued at about 14 dollars for a Buff Rock cock and two hens. One fine cockerel went to Blackburn and is expected to win a prize.
