Icy Road Turning Crash In Lawton Area

Three autos turned over near Lawton due to icy roads on Saturday. One car belonged to O A Putney with his wife son Harold and daughter Mrs Raymond Hurrel aboard. They were thrown out when brakes locked. none seriously hurt and all returned home that evening. Also a Bennett with an ear abscess confusion was clarified later. He was driven to Lawton for treatment with his parents. abscess had burst and was deemed worse than if lanced.

County Commissioners Seek Auditor Then Rescind Request

On October 7 1914 Comanche County Oklahoma commissioners asked the Governor to send an expert auditor to inspect offices. They state disfavor with the State Examiner and expenses incurred. On December 9 1914 they rescind the request and ask the Governor to cancel any arrangements. Signed by W C Weaver J J Davis and B F Hall chairman.

Christmas Eve Exercises At Fletcher Methodist Church

Local note say a Fletcher Methodist church will hold a Christmas Eve exercise. In Frederick a shoplifting report targets the Frederick The Flyet Bank of Roosevelt with deposits over ninety nine thousand dollars. Cotton ginning tallies include 26 666 bales in Caddo county and 7 194 bales to last week in Temple. Several local births and deaths logged in Tillman county in November. Swiss Bell Ringers touring nearby towns. Local ads feature two Roosevelt merchants promoting Christmas goods. A county sale north east of Apache lists cattle and livestock. A Hollis girl hints at missionary aims and a new Hollis preacher described as a talented razor-handler.

Higgins-Allensworth Nuptials In Anadarko

Higgins and Miss Grace Allensworth wed in Anadarko with Caddo County judge officiating. The groom, brother to W. W. Higgins and Mrs. H. H. Jenkins, is also kin to the wife of Chas. Higgins. They plan a home west of Elin in the Mt. Scott area.
