Revival Date Set By Methodist Church Officials

At a church meeting the revival start date was set for Saturday evening January 2, 1915 Reverend C. A. Rock of Apache and Stecker will lead with Singing Evangelist Hemphill from Chickasha assisting. Hemphill is praised as a premier singer in the region.

Yeomen Lodge to Elect Officers Next Tuesday

Porter Acquitted in County Treasurer Case

The jury found Joe L. Porter not guilty after four hours deliberation. The defense admitted some laws were not followed but argued actions were in the taxpayers' interest. The court required proof of willful conduct. The trial cost the county $347.40.

First Prize Buff Rock Cock Exhibited at State Fair

The Buff Rock cock exhibited by T. Ryan of Elgin took first prize at the State Fair last fall. Ryan plans a Plymouth Rock style exhibit at the Comanche County Poultry Association meeting in Lawton opening Thursday, Dec. 17. The Champion office completed 500 envelopes 500 letter heads and 500 four page leaflets on Golden Red paper for Mr. Ryan to aid his advertising efforts.

Post Office Rules For Holiday Mail From Lawton To Fletcher

Post office notices explain mail goes to Lawton by the night train and returns to Fletcher by the early train but Lawton reports no mail on the early morning train. Clerks will be rushed during the holidays and mail delays are likely. Horse Injured Near Sterling After Buggy Shaft Breaks

A horse driven by Dr. Hitch of Sterling bolted near the cars around noon Sunday, breaking a shaft on the buggy and tearing a 12 inch gash on its left side behind the shoulder. Dr. Hilemeyer assisted in sewing the wound.
