Noted Rulo businessman D. T. Easley dies at 77
D. T. Easley born Halifax County Virginia March 2 1831 died Rulo Nebraska May 3 1908 aged 77 years 2 months and 1 day. He opened a Missouri river store in 1850 helped start Rule business then partnered with J C Hinkle moving lumber from Missouri. Survived by three daughters and three sisters. Burial followed May 8 at the family home with Rev Bennett Mays officiating.

Tragic Suicide of Clarence Burchard Shocks Omaha
Clarence J. Burchard, 23, a Byrne Hammer Dry Goods Co. checker from Omaha, died by self inflicted gunshot at the Drexel hotel after returning from a Christmas visit with his wife. A note cited fear of insanity. he registered under George Shoal’s name, left a curiously arranged room scene, and a letter on the bureau. His body arrived with his father and mourners attended the Episcopal service.
