Rev. French E Oliver announces a large tabernacle gathering starting next Sunday at 11 o clock. A chorus of 300 singers is requested with choir rehearsal scheduled for Saturday night at the tabernacle.
Mr Samuel Wahl and Miss Grace Edna Gray married Wednesday June 5 in Indianapolis at the bride’s uncle Ross home. The Falls City couple are well known, with Wahl in business over 25 years and Mrs Wahl a city native and Business College graduate and longtime bookkeeper. Friends extend congratulations.
Mrs. Willis Yoder died at her home after long illness on Saturday June 1. Born Mary Allen in 1878 at Lamoni Iowa she married Willis Yoder in 1902 and leaves a son, family and friends. Funeral held June 2 at the M E Church with Rev W T Cline. Further items note local society events, marriages planned, and jurors listed for the June district court term.
Mr and Mrs William Landri gan thank friends for sympathy and help during the illness and death of their little daughter Edna Isham Reavis was a business visitor to Omaha on Monday and Tuesday.
Mr. Taxpayer receives a full statement through June 8 1907 detailing outstanding warrants from May 1906, bonds paid and outstanding, and cash balance notes. It compares admin progress, notes a $8044.79 cash balance, and urges filing for future reference. Mayor GM Bakrerr signs.
City council met July 3 in regular session to review bills totaling 1 47100, confirm committees, elect Martin Gehling council president, and award a concrete walk contract to A B Mverett at 12c per sq ft after bids from Chas Heineman and A B Byver etts. Notices to repair walks were set for July 8, with adjournment planned for June 10. Also noted were the death of Mrs Louise Henning after a ten day illness and details of her German birth, emigration, marriage to William Henning, and funeral arrangements.
Last Monday evening the W O W had a jolly surprise as members enjoyed refreshments after the business session. Sov H K Lemon, recently back from the National Council at Norfolk Va, gave an interesting report on the council and his Jamestown exposition visit. A general good time was reported by attendees.
David Cain, a little over one year old, risked a twenty foot fall from a second story window after unhooking a screen at the Cain residence. The child received only minor bruises and a severe shaking, with no serious injuries reported.
McCray’s purchase for the DuBois bridge is now in the court house yard for public inspection. Supervisors attacked by McCray via his newspaper have had the metal displayed, described as old, rotten, and rusty from prior structures long before William acquired it. A jail yard inspection is urged for interested observers.
Best peas priced at 20 cents per can while fine white fish costs 58 cents. Nine bars Lennox and Diamond C soap advertised at Stump's in Straussville for shoppers.

Governor Sheldon spent the evening in Falls City and planned to catch the Barlin train for Lincoln. Republicans traveled with him at the National Club as he prepared for his trip and reported good health and no trouble finding applicants to fill available positions.
