The Morrill News records the death of Samuel E Springer aged 91 born in Washington DC April 8 1815 who died December 30 1906 at his daughter Mrs D B Royer's Morrill home He moved to Illinois in 1872 Kansas in 1881 and Brown County later He leaves eight children thirty four grandchildren and twenty seven great grandchildren The funeral was at the Brethren church with grandsons as bearers and burial in Morrill cemetery
