The Falls City churches congratulate themselves on securing such talent.
Friday evening the Falls City Girls High School basketball team meets Peru Normal in the season finale at the venue. The teams are evenly matched, but Falls City has pledged a win and urges local fans to attend and cheer them on.
Jack McKeiver employed at the Shield cafe slipped and fell while on duty Monday injuring his knee. He is confined to his home and in considerable pain.
A Friday stag smoker hosted by the Milks drew 180 guests to the National venue. Toasts by J R Cain Jr and Ewing Herbert, plus remarks by Arthur Wakeley and Matt Gehring, highlighted an evening praised as the finest entertainment in the city with out of town Elks in attendance.
After an illness of about a year J L Hays of Stella died Monday this week. He was a well known county figure, an early settler who built a renowned rural home fifty seven years ago. He leaves a widow and two daughters. The funeral was held at the family home and burial followed in Prairie Union cemetery.
Gave Satisfaction reports describe Painting the Town at Gehling Wednesday evening as one of the season’s best attractions with broad praise. The act features high quality performances and favorable comments from all sides. The next attraction announced is A Texas Ranger on Monday evening.
Mrs. Chas. Unland of Humboldt visiting with her daughter Mrs. A. F. E. Gantt was stricken with paralysis Sunday and is in critical condition. Her many friends hope for a revival. Oliver C. Ayers of Humboldt was a business visitor in this city Monday.
